Differentiation of Multi-lithotypes Olistostromal Occurrences Associated with Iron Enrichment and Mineralization Within the Ophiolites of Choman Area, NE Iraq

The discovery of multi-lithotypes olistostromes deposits associated with potentially economically viable iron ore mineralizations in the Rayat region NE Iraq are described this study. depositional and differentiation-classification characteristics distinct reported here through detailed petrographic, mineralogical, geochemical data, that allowed for mineralization mechanisms assessment hydrothermal alteration processes. Ferruginous conglomerate lithotypes occur below sandstone section investigated series. Through ferruginous (FCO) there is a layer containing oxide (up to %42.55), quartz some minor spinel content. Below FCO, horizons (FOpO FSO), they also rich hematite calcite A 2m thick transition zone (TZ), separate poorly mineralized ophiocarbonatic olistostrome (OpCO) from FCO. bottom top (serpentinite (SO), Ophiocarbonatic (OpCO), serpentinite (FSO), (FOpCO), (FCO), (SstO).
